During my past mandate, our team did a lot but there is still a lot more to do. We are proud of our accomplishments.
RE-ELECT ME AS COMMISSIONER
As a parent-volunteer of children attending, Beacon Hill, Allancroft, St Paul, BHS, John Rennie, I have the background and experience to understand the Boards needs.
I am an enthusiastic and energetic believer in the public school system and would be privileged to help fortify the BOARD’S FUTURE.
I SALUTE our language teachers, and PRAISE our Bilingual Graduates who seek Innovation, Consensus, not Confrontation.
PRIORITIES:
- I will fight for prudent management of Public Funds entrusted to the Board.
- I will oppose government subsidies to private Schools. We must reduce Council and Commissioner Expenses.
- I will continue to pressure “ MELS” ( Quebec Ministry of Education ) TO ISSUE ENGLISH TEXT BOOKS (new reform) SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE FRENCH TEXTS. We have ‘simultaneous Television translation from Ottawa parliament –so guarantee that all English Canadian Students and French Canadian Students have “EQUAL RIGHTS”.
- As an educator, I will work to reduce “DROP OUT Rates.
- I will promote additional service for Special Needs and Gifted Students.
- I will work with my colleagues to Champion “SAFE SCHOOLS”
- A CODE of CONDUCT outlawing bullying, drug, and alcohol use.
- As a structural engineer I continue to support upgrading and renovation of schools. The older buildings NEED INVESTMENT to complete the Energy Saving Projects, with Improved Environmental Impact.
- Listen to Parents in Assemblies and Governing Board meetings.
REMEMBER “OUR CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE”.
